VMF Winter Arts is a free outdoor festival bringing together art and live experiences to connect communities and brighten the city!

VMF Winter Arts was launched in 2021 at the height of the pandemic lead by Ben as the Co-Founder & Artistic Director.. As Canada’s first-ever augmented reality festival, it received critical acclaim, including recipient of the IDA Award of Excellence. Entering its second year, VMF Winter Arts took the festival to the next level with the addition of light installations, tours, talks and a licensed open-air Hub featuring art, drinks, food trucks, and free live entertainment.

Designed to counter the winter season’s shorter days and darker nights, the festival welcomes residents and visitors of all ages to safely rediscover downtown Vancouver’s streets, public plazas and landmarks, and reimagine the city in a new light as it shines bright during one of the darkest months of the year!

VMF Winter Arts takes place each February across downtown Vancouver.
