Since a young age Ben Z Cooper has been driven by a curiosity around the intersection of art and creative uses of technology. After years of work behind cameras within Vancouver’s Film Industry, he joined HFour Studios as Partner and Creative Director. From 2012-2020 they carved out a unique niche of blending art, technology and public engagement to create large scale, immersive installations for clients across North America & Asia.

In 2020 he teamed up with Vancouver Mural Festival to launch Canada’s first, open-air Augmented Reality Festival, VMF Winter Arts, a unique pandemic pivot which engaged tens of thousands during the darkest, coldest time of West Coast Winter.

Ben is currently working on a number of projects as producer, curator, and / or designer; continuing to dig deep and find the unique combinations that simultaneously engage viewings in new technologies and visual art.
